Time to start floating…
Great time paddling this weekend with Marshal and Kelly on Saturday and Sunday with Masa and Marshal. Rolled into Auburn on Friday and decided to head straight to the camp site at the Chamberlain Falls put in. On the way down Iowa Hill road I chatted with Kelly who informed me that it was at 4 grand. I was hoping there would be some boaters ready to run Chambies at that stout level…was able to get everything set up before the next little downpour…then waited with no luck for other kayakers.
Saturday morning as I was waiting for Kelly to show, in comes Marshal whom I wasn’t expecting at all. The three of us had a very enjoyable run. As evening approached, another boater named Masa showed up at the campground. We meet and have great conversation and dinner together. Masa and i decide to drive up to the Yuba south Fork in the morning which will be my first time. Marshal meets us at 11am and we have yet another nice quick mellow run @ just above 800. In my opinion, higher water might be better on Edwards to Purdons – e>to>p). Fun stuff though!

MAXimus @ Seal Rock Beach
Another beautiful day at the beach. Max is really starting to enjoy the game of fetching the ball when the water is involved. He almost got stuck in the muddy/swampy old Sutro Bath area – thought I was gonna have to go in for the rescue – and I think it kinda scared him. He got a good bathing swimming in the ocean after that frightful experience. HAPPY DOG!
